Life Must Goes On

|

Amid the development project around the Baheiry district, Alexandria despite the gloomy economic situation, the fishermen and the Boatman (my terminology) continue with their profession inherited from their great ancestors surviving for food and decent life. Some of the fishermen stay in their boat, a place for them to repair their fishing equipment, such as, the fish net, buoy, etc. besides for cooking their meals and refreshing their body. Well, at least, they find themselves a good noble job for their future generation instead of begging people on the streets of Alexandria. The Boatmen, on the other hand, are people who earn their living by navigating the locals and the tourist alike around the Mediterranean fringe with their small colorful boats. Most of them do not own the boats, but they are ‘working’ under some smart small-scale entrepreneur. Nevertheless, I salute both of them – their noble professions, I mean for their determination, courage and perseverance in maneuvering their life.
