Her first husband was Saidina Ja'far ibn Abu Talib ra aka Saidina Ja’far at-Tayyar ra, also of the Banu Hashim tribe. As mentioned in my early entry, she had three children with Saidina Ja'far ra. After Saidina Ja'far’s death she married Saidina Abu Bakr as-Sidiq ra. Sayeda Asma rha gave birth to their son who they named Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr during their pilgrimage with Prophet Muhammad saw (peace be upon him).
Saidina Abu Bakr ra planned to send Asma and their child back to Medinah, but when Prophet Muhammad saw (peace be upon him) learned of his intent he told him to let her continue by making the major ablution, and then rededicating herself in offering the pilgrimage.
When her husband Saidina Abu Bakr ra died, Sayeda Asma ra married Saidina Ali ibn Abu Talib. Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr was adopted by Ali and brought up as his own son. May Allah be pleased with her.
