Hibiscus or Bunga Raya in malay or its scientific name Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is the national flower of Malaysia. Thus, it is very proud to see it everywhere in this unique piece of land call Egypt. In Egypt, Hibiscus is used to make tea called karkade and it is said as a means to lower blood pressure if consumed in high amounts. On a typical street in downtown Cairo or Alexandria, one can find many vendors and open-air cafés selling the drink to both the local crowd and curious tourists.
You will never find Tulips at any gardens or parks in Egypt. However, the local rose, dahlia, etc. will entertain your eyes with its majestic colors and shapes. Its scent and aroma attracts men and insects alike.
