I admire this man, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the fourth Malaysian Prime Minister that during his 22 years tenure, had lead Malaysia to an excellent achievement and recognition. He was the president of one of the prominent Malaysian political parties United Malay Nationals Organisation or in short UMNO, however, left the party in May 2008 mainly lacking of confidence in the party’s leadership then. Today, I believed, when Tun decided to rejoin the party, UMNO would see another bright light at the end of the tunnel after their worst performance during the last election, which mainly due to their internal flaws. He, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has officially applied to become an UMNO member again and party president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak welcomed it and said this would help revive and strengthen the party.The simple yet meaningful occasion also witnessed Tun Dr Siti Hasman Mohd Ali and the their son, Datuk Mokhzani submitting their UMNO membership application forms, with RM 1 fee attached to it.
The new UMNO president said that Dr Mahathir and Dr Siti Hasmah would get to keep their old membership number, which was 000001 and 000002 respectively. Welcome Tun!
