Downfalls Park Soothes your Eyes

|

Summer is coming. After 5 months hiding ourselves under the chilly Alexandria sky, we spent about 1 hour at one of the green park in Alexandria called the downfalls park, enjoying the evening sun of the second largest town in Egypt. This park, where some people called it the green house park was inaugurated on Sunday 5 May 2002 or 22 Safar 1423 Hijri.
The significant thing about this park is, it accommodates one of the remnants of the ancient Alexandria Walls' towers – the Northern Tower. According to one of the historians, this wall built by Alexander the Great was to prevent his enemy – the Libyan then, to enter his established city.
The gate from the North-Eastern view. One could bring their family or friends to relax at the ample garden besides the well preserved tower.
Amid the busy and the noisy traffic along the famous Abu Qir or el-Horriyah street on its East and Sultan Hussein street on North-West, the park provides you with a cool ambience that entertain its visitors psychologically. Thus, an excellent place to distress and relaxation for all walk-of-lives. It has an artificial waterfall, which is very rare in Egypt, an amphitheater, a jogging track, a man-made lake, and last but not least, a very decent but pleasant restaurant.
The greenery appearance of the scenery soothes your eyes and the natural shape of its roots branches and leave challenges your brain, stimulate your desire.
