Since its incorporation, Twinzbites performance has made Yusuf’s fraternities proud. Its existence at the new Miri township – Permyjaya Desa Pujut, has ‘filled-up’ the emptiness of the neighborhood. With the intention to fill up their time and as an alternative supplier of bread and pastries, the idea was mooted by Hjh Rahmah, (now the director and owner of the Twinzbites). Early 2006, started home base - at Lot 6248, Jalan Duta 3, Pujut 2B, Miri, they experimented few products, sweet bun, bread loaf and buns for burger. Of course, ‘dodol’ and biscuits were their favorites especially during Ramadhan – always their major income. Subsequently, the enthusiasm was boosted up by the demand and support by other member of the fraternities. Apart from their close friends and relatives, the products were marketed through PETRONAS gas station at Pujut Padang Kerbau and sundry shop at Saberkas complex.
Almost 2 years after that, without turning looking back, they decided to expand their business aggressively. With the support of their Tycoon – Zailan, they managed to secure a 2 storey corner shop-lot from Naim Chendera at Permyjaya though had to go through all the unnecessary hustles…well, that is life! Whilst renovating the shop-lot – to suit their needs, they went to Thailand and Kuala Lumpur enhancing their knowledge and skills in the bakery world. Eventually, in February 2008, Twinzbites Bakery and Café were incorporated. In this series of release, I am pleased to share some of my story about the life and product of TwinzBites.

In front of the shop there is an empty space where the crew together with other kids from the neighborhood comprises of the Iban, Chinese, Melanau and Malay (this is what unique about Sarawak – One Malaysia concept has been well subscribed by Sarawakians since the formation of Malaysia on September 16 1957), wisely spent their evening time for healthy lifestyle – playing football. Sometimes I joint them, but most of the time Muhammad Aiman, Muhammad Asri and Muhammad Afiq were with them.
Afiqah and her good friend Celindra the only daughter of Claire – one of the SPNB key staffs, filling up the other part of the TwinzBites’ life with their bicycle. In the photo below, Christie one of the important figure of the TwinzBites production line was busy preparing for few batches of the products and Chote otherwise known as Chote – pronounced as Cho té, the general administrator rejoicing himself.
