Cycling is always my favorites sport since I was in my secondary school. Back in 1980, when I was in form 4, group of us used to cycle to Miri or Kuala Baram which is 10 km from Lutong. 10 km then was quite a distance for us. I joint a 20 km Miri – Lutong Bicycle Merdeka race. In 1999, we, group of ABF and MLNG cyclist made a successful 230 km ride through 192 hills to Miri in 13 hours 36 minutes. Unfortunately, I only covered about 200 km of 189 hills with my GT-300 mountain bike due to severe leg cramp. Nonetheless, the ‘lifetime Cycling Experience’ was well organised and sponsored by ABF, MLNG, and few big Local Contractors. Upon arrival at Miri Fan Garden, we were ushered by few VIPs at 20:36 hours local time.Cycling
